What Makes TAKE-UP Different?

TAKE-UP is a Japanese jewelry company. All of our products are “Made In Japan”; they are designed by a team of Japanese female jewelry designers who are in their 20’s to 40’s and love fashion, and handmade by Japanese experienced artisans.

We are eager to offer jewelry embodying the Japanese unique concept “Kawaii For Adults” to customers overseas and make them happy.

We specialize in integrating gold and various precious stones which have been cut originally in order to create delicate and unique jewelry.

We are very particular about the texture and functions of our products so that you can enjoy them safely; for example, we apply 18K or 14K gold to the posts or wires (parts touching ear piercing holes) of all gold earring products in order to prevent customers from suffering metal allergy.

We mainly design jewelry that can work well as a part of daily fashion rather than conservative jewelry and are mindful of creating jewelry we ourselves want to wear.

Lastly, let me tell you a little bit about Yoshino, our chief designer. She is curious and enjoy traveling and classical music as hobby. She had worked on designing clothes for years before she started her jewelry designer career, so she is familiar with how fashion works.

Brand History

In 1979, when earrings were still almost non-existent in Japanese accessories, I visited New York for the first time and was inspired by the many earrings I came across and their innovative fashion sense, so I started designing earrings one after another.
At the time of our founding, we were a small atelier that made casual earrings with unique designs that combined brass metal with glass and acrylic.
